Surprise

I have to admit it. Jason got me.

Last night I came home from work to a suspiciously dark and VERY clean house. Jason opened the door for me, asked me how work was, and I looked around confusingly when I saw early birthday decorations all over the house.

Then, some lights turned on, some people I really love jumped out and yelled ‘surprise’, and the night instantly became amazing.

Jason had apparently been planning for months to get my best friends together to celebrate my 25th birthday. Emily, Katherine, and Becca came down from DC, and Callie came down from Connecticut and brought her brother with her. Jason had this whole very sweet itinerary planned, which started with delicious appetizers, champagne, and gift opening. It took a long time for it to really sink in what was happening! I did NOT see it coming.

(I had to change out of my work clothes! then the party proceeded)

After gifts we all went out for hibachi!

After a really fun dinner, we went back home for more drinks and good times. It was truly awesome and I’m SO touched that my friends and my incredible husband went through so much trouble to celebrate with me. It was epic and I will never forget it.

Thanks for reading!

P.S.- My actual birthday isn’t until this Tuesday, the 5th. 😉

Yay!!! That reunion was long overdue and the most fun I’ve had in a very long time. Thomas had a blast, too. AND I got to see THE lawfully wedded wife cook in her own kitchen and taste her delicious food (thank you!!!). Thomas said those were the best eggs he’s ever eaten! We are planning another trip to the ‘Burg sometime in the near(ish) future!!! 🙂 lots of love!! Xoxo
