Welcome to my newly decorated living room!
Some fresh colors, spray paint, and a few new pillows was all it needed. We’re only going to be here for another 6 months, but I wanted the space to be more enjoyable for the rest of the time we have. I’m really happy with it. Especially this guy.
Jason’s parents came into town to visit us today! I went to the Spanish food store before they got here and created a nice spread of appetizers to hold us over until dinnertime. On one platter there were Spanish olives, caper berries, and fresh figs.
And on the other was some cubed manchego cheese, sliced serrano ham, and water crackers! Manchego is one of my favorites and I knew that Jason’s parents would love it too.
You can never go wrong with Spanish goodies like these. It was enjoyed fully once my father-in-law brought the wine.
For dinner I made pizza! One with sausage and pepperoni, one pesto mushroom, and one margherita. I made a mixed greens salad on the side with homemade candied pecans, sliced pears, and a quick maple-balsamic dressing. We were all stuffed by the end!
But not too stuffed for dessert! I kept things light and made Ina’s lemoncello fruit salad.
Time for bed! More fun with the in-laws tomorrow. π
Thanks for reading!

Your living room is beautiful. All of the food looks delicious, but I would devour the fresh figs.

Thank you so much! I love figs too, I had quite a few of them. π
