Late September VA Produce

Late September?? How did that happen? I can’t believe that tomorrow is the first official day of fall. I’m so excited to get into fall foods and flavors. This week’s produce share definitely puts me in a fall mood!

I was at my externship in Richmond (I got a position in state health care legislature for the semester! so awesome) all day and the produce came while I was gone. I didn’t know if I would be able to take pictures but LO AND BEHOLD I came home and my amazing husband told me that he had already taken care of it. This week’s photos courtesy of Jason.

We got some great stuff, including chestnuts! I’ve never roasted them myself but clearly I’M ABOUT TO!

Carrots!

Beautiful Virginia apples!

Lettuce:

Eggplant:

Virginia tomatoes are still amazing! I’ve been picking them up at the farmstand in between produce deliveries and they’re always so juicy and perfect. I hope the warm weather lasts longer so that we can enjoy them for another few weeks.

And pumpkins galore! I see a pie in our future. Or three.

Thank you for taking the beautiful pictures Jas! Maybe I’ll just have you take them every time! 😉

Thanks for reading!
