WIAW: Fighting Something Off

You know that feeling…when you’re going about your business and then all of the sudden…out of nowhere…you’re 100% sick. I said hello to a sinus infection starting a couple days ago that has really knocked the wind out of me. I’m on the mend but today I still can’t smell or taste anything so I didn’t have a huge appetite. But since it’s Wednesday you get to see it anyways! Thanks to the hostess Jenn for putting together this link party every week!

Breakfast: non-existant!

I was feeling awful…I grabbed a handful of dry cereal but that was it. There was ZERO appetite present. Later in the day I started to snack as the antibiotics kicked in and things improved.

Snacks: randomness

Ashley was having Annie’s organic mac ‘n cheese and so I had a little along with her.

A few hours later we took a little trip to Arden’s Garden, a local juice and smoothie shop that is AWESOME. The juices are made with fresh fruit and aren’t pasteurized so they have all the natural goodness still inside.

I got the complete recovery smoothie and loved it. I gulped it down in a matter of a few minutes and it was just what I needed. Frankly I was sold when I read the first couple sentences on the back!

I also grabbed some of their literature to take with me because I plan on frequenting their shops and want to know more about their great products!

Later in the afternoon I snacked on some rice and beans from our favorite Dominican place down the road.

Dinner: mozzarella-stuffed meatloaf, mashed potatoes w/ dollop of greek yogurt, cesar salad

This was leftovers from dinner that I cooked a couple nights ago. Good stuff! Greek yogurt (I use full-fat Fage) is a GREAT substitute for sour cream on potatoes by the way.

Dessert: Bluebell banana split ice cream

Even as I’m typing this I’m feeling SO much better than I was this morning. Thank God for modern medicine!

Thanks for reading!

Annie’s mac and cheese is by far the best boxed version ever!
