My Seven Links

We successfully completed our summer internship!!! I can’t explain how happy we are to be free. It was a great experience, and we both learned a ton about prosecution and the criminal justice system, but we are SO ready to just have a real break. Don’t tell anyone, but I think I might be married to a future prosecutor. And me? Well I don’t think I’ll be prosecuting anyone any time soon…or ever, but I’m hoping some of the classes I’m taking this coming semester will give me a better idea of what kind of law I want to practice.

In other news…

These fun ‘My Seven Links’ posts have been spreading like wildfire around the food blogging world and it’s super cool. I was hesitant about doing it because I’ve only been blogging for 6 months so I don’t feel like I have a huge repertoire, but I decided to go for it anyways! ๐Ÿ™‚

Most Beautiful Post:

Loving Day 2011

I was so happy to be able to share the story of the Lovings with you all and give some more insight into what it’s like being in an interracial marriage. I spent a lot of time on the post and I hope it shows.

Most Popular Post:

Pollo en Fricase, The Fresh Way

This post got over 2,000 views which is a HUGE deal for my little blog and is DEFINITELY the most popular post to date. Pretty much every day without fail someone views this post. I think it’s because of the pictures and that makes me very happy and proud!

Most Controversial Post:

Errr…sorry, y’all, I’m not the most controversial of people. If anything, I think my Loving Day post that I mentioned above could raise some eyebrows but I don’t really think it was “contreversial”. Maybe it’s time I start some contreversy? Nope.

Most Helpful Post:

All About Grits

I know that a lot of people are unfamiliar with grits so I thought this post covered it all and would help those thinking about trying grits in their own kitchen.

A Post Who’s Success Surprised You:

The Green Drink Slowly Changing My Life

This was one of the posts I wrote when the blog was very new, and I couldn’t believe when friends and family and even random strangers were intrigued or inspired enough to try the green monster! So awesome!

A Post That Didn’t The Attention It Deserved:

Whole Wheat Makeover #5: Dinner Rolls

This didn’t get many views or comments but I wasn’t lying when I said the recipe is awesome! It’s one of my favorite bread recipes, and I definitely need to make it more often.

Post You’re Most Proud Of:

This is a toughie. I aim for humility so I don’t want to go on and on about how awesome I think I am (duh, you already know anyways) but there have been many posts that I’m proud of. Most of all I’m proud of how my photography has improved and that they are considered worthy of amazing sites like Foodgawker. In terms of photography, I think I’m most proud of

Triple Chocolate Mini Bundt Cakes with Peanut Butter Glaze

And in terms of content, I think I’m most proud of

A Year In Review

This was the post I wrote on the anniversary of our college graduation a few months back. The hubs and I have been through a HECK of a year and I have no problem telling people that I’m super proud of what we have accomplished.

So that’s it, my 7 links! If you’re reading this and haven’t done your own yet, consider yourself tagged!

Thanks for reading!
