The Wednesday Tradition, Living in the MOEment
Consider yourselves lucky to be seeing me! ๐ We’re still in the thick of the law journal competition so I actually wasn’t going to post today. But then we were on our way to our weekly lunch tradition and I was thinking…hey, I should share this on the blog, why the heck not! I don’t want you to be under the false impression that I cook 3 meals a day 7 days a week. I DO NOT! At all. I try to cook dinner 4-6 times a week, but there’s a lot of days when we throw caution to the wind and eat out! I am a full time law student after all…
This is where we come for lunch nearly every single Wednesday. (Dang do you see our car? It needs washing sooo badly, looks like we took it off-roading…) If you haven’t heard of Moe’s its essentially a fast food burrito/taco joint. There’s two reasons why we come here every week. NUMERO UNO…see that little sign hanging from the awning? It says student ID Wednesdays, which means that on Wednesdays if we show our student IDs we get 50% off our order! We were beyond thrilled when they started doing this. NUMERO DOS, Moe’s is one of like three fast food places that I will give my money to and trust my stomach with (the other two are Chick-fil-a and Zaxby’s). They have fresh ingredients, cage-free and hormone free chicken, whole wheat tortillas, grass-fed steak, and lots of vegetarian options. I leave feeling completely full, but not disgusted with what I just ate, which is the goal.
My burrito was chicken, black beans, rice, lettuce, salsa, guacamole, shredded cheese, and sour cream on a whole wheat tortilla. A little corn salsa and some QUESO on the side. I LOVE ME some queso, I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t my favorite part of eating at Moe’s.
Mmmm liquid cheesy heaven…don’t worry, I put WAY more than that on each chip.
Nothing can ruin this moement. I agree, witty cup slogan. (Get it? C’mon you get it…because the place is called Moe’s…I like their terrible puns, it just adds to the charm) Especially because it’s the one time a week that I drink soda.
That’s a happy soda drinking person right there. Savoring the moement.
And there is my adorable husband, savoring a spicy moement. His burrito is full of spicy salsa, spicy queso, and fresh jalepenos. So very Jason.
If only this moement could last forever. I’m clearly enjoying it way more than proofreading legal mumbo jumbo.
Oh well, I chose legal mumbo jumbo as my profession so I best get back to it!
Thanks for reading!

Question of the Day: Do you eat fast food or do you try to avoid it? What’s your favorite?
