Home Sweet Home
Sorry I have been absent recently! We were packing up our stuff and moving down to Georgia for the summer! We had a nice trip on the way (aside from a speeding ticket I got in the first hour…oops).
It was very scenic, always is! The drive is about 10 hours so we planned a nice lunch stop along the way so we wouldn’t be stuck with fast food.
LOVE this place, it’s so awesome. We arrived in Georgia around 10pm and were very excited to see my home, sweet home!
It feels great to be back in Georgia, there are sooo many places of interest here in comparison to where we are in Virginia. We went to pick my younger brother and sister up from school this afternoon, and the whole way there we were just gasping and going “Oh man! I forgot about that place! …Oh man we have to eat there!….Oh man that place is new, we have to shop there!”. It’s just fabulous. After we picked them up we headed to Roasters for a late lunch!
They are famous for their roasted chicken! Yum!
We all enjoyed ourselves!
This is me and my ADORABLE ANGEL OF A LITTLE SISTER, Miss Ashley. She is wonderful. I love her so, so much and we miss each other a lot when we’re apart so we’re happy to be reunited again…can you tell from those smiles?
And this is Jason with my brother David, who’s a sophomore in high school now (time flies!)! I love him a lot too but he doesn’t like it when I get mushy. ๐
The bread was especially good, as is evidenced below:
You’ll be hearing more from me now that we’re all settled in! I do want to tell you though that these next few months will likely include A LOT more restaurant reviews and such than recipes. I will still do recipes when I can, but on Monday we’re starting a 8-5 job with an hour commute on each side, so I will NOT be having the kind of free time that I’ve been enjoying over the past year in Virginia. But we’re still going to have a ton of fun! ๐ I’m excited to show you my family and friends and the city that I grew up in! It’s gonna be awesome guys.
Thanks for reading,
Lauren
