Feelin' the Breeze
Happy Memorial Day everyone! I hope you are having a great one like I am. Today was such a busy day, but we got a lot done! I started the day having an awesome breakfast with some high school friends and then came back home so that Jason and I could do some shopping for work clothes. After a lot of driving and shopping, it felt like it was time for some relaxation!
We went to this restaurant called Bahama Breeze, I love it there! Granted the theme is a little cheesy but it really does make you feel like you’re on vacation when you eat there. The place is fully decorated with palm trees and beautiful high ceilings with lots of open windows so it feels light and airy inside! Can’t believe I forgot to take a picture of the outside but I did.
See doesn’t he look like he’s on vacation?! They have a amazing drinks at this place, so many delicious tropical flavors. I got the “Ultimate Piña Colada”, sooo delicious!
And Jason got a Pineapple-Coconut Martini, which he loved (though he said he wished it was bigger!).
And for lunch I ordered fish tacos and a side salad. The tacos had sauteed tilapia, salsa, lettuce, and avacado. They were light and fresh and perfect for lunch! The salad was really good but the dressing I did not care for.
Jason got habenero chicken wings, which he really enjoyed.
Really, the reason to go to this place is just the fun atmosphere. When you leave you feel like you’re leaving a mini vacation! The view from our table:
Perfect way to enjoy the long weekend.
I’m on a mission now to find healthy and interesting lunches for Jason and I to pack to work. We’ve been eating out every day so far and I really don’t like spending so much money on lunches that aren’t even as healthy or tasty as I would like them to be. We’re going to try to strike a balance between eating out and packing a lunch and see how it goes. After packing a lunch to school every day for 14 years, Jason is very hesitant to go back to packed lunch. Wish me luck that I can find something we both like that’s a little easier on the wallet! Tonight the kids requested that I re-make Ashley’s Peanut Butter Drizzle Brownies, so we will be enjoying these suckers again tonight!
To the grocery store I go!
