Sushi Celebration
Right now you are reading the words of a young lady who is officially halfway done with law school. I’ll give you a moment to absorb that. ๐ It’s true, I’m a free woman!!! Or at least I’m free for a little while. I was up all night studying last night, so the hardest part of my exam this morning was actually staying awake. I was literally falling asleep and coming in and out of short dreams as I was typing my exam. I jolted myself awake one time and when I looked at my computer screen at what I just typed it said “The defendant will argue 6 skinless chicken breasts”. Seriously. You can’t make this stuff up. I must have been dreaming about my grocery list??? I have no explanation. ANYWAYS after coming home and crashing for a bit, Jason and I headed out for a much anticipated sushi dinner courtesy of a Groupon!
We snatched up the Groupon because it was a great deal, but had actually never been to this restaurant Kyoto before even though it’s like 3 minutes from our house. I got the maki combo, which included a tuna roll, california roll, and futo maki roll. They were all yummy!
Jason got some rolls a la carte: a spicy tuna roll, eel and avacado roll, and shrimp tempura roll. His were delicious, he definitely ordered better than I did!
I stole a couple pieces of that eel and avacado roll and it had this heavenly sweet sauce on it. The regular prices on these rolls were really good too, definitely something to remember. I love having sushi, it’s such a treat!
We really enjoyed our evening, it was great to enjoy a sit down restaurant dinner for a change.
I still feel so uneasy about how all my exams went, but slowly I’m starting to feel excited about being done. It was SO HARD for me to not be as active in blogging the last couple weeks! I’ve missed out on cookie swaps, cookie contests, recipe linkups, and just general holiday fun which I was (and still am) sad about…but at least I’m free now! You can best believe I will be trying to make up for lost time and having some real fun on the blog in the coming weeks.
Thanks for reading!
