On Friday I picked up my younger siblings from my parents’ house and brought them to our place for an epic sleepover extravaganza while by BFF is still in town. Since we got lucky with some really nice weather, we spent a lot of time at the pool!
I LOVE the pool at our new complex. Not only is it huge, but during the week it’s completely empty so we can enjoy it all to ourselves!
It’s so fun having Emily in town!
She has known Ashley since she was born, so to Ashley she’s like another big sister.
For Friday’s lunch, I picked up some goodies for us to all share in between pool time.
Yesterday we had QUITE the full day, starting off with a hearty breakfast at home.
I made multigrain blueberry pancakes, cheddar scrambled eggs, and bacon (for all the non-veggies).
Then Emily and I gave Ashley a little lesson in upholstery and re-did our barstools with a fun new fabric! It was a fun and easy little project to do.
After another afternoon at the pool, we packed up some food and drinks and headed out to Braves stadium!
This was Ashley’s first Braves game! I think she was pretty amazed at how huge and awesome Turner Field is.
We got some cheap seats in the upper box, and luckily for us there’s no such thing as a bad seat in this stadium. We had great views of the skyline and could still see what was going on in the game.
The Braves were on a roll yesterday! Last night was I think our 13th win in a row! I was so glad we won for Ashley’s first game.
Plus it was Friday Night Fireworks! The fireworks show was actually incredible–way bigger and better than I was expecting!
After the game we took the kids back home, then us grownups went to Tin Lizzy’s for a few drinks.
This place is a short walk from where we live! Doesn’t get much better than that.
It was an amazing couple of days! I know that we all fell sleep HARD last night.
I’m working on the new blog…hopefully I can make some major progress with it this weekend! I can’t wait to show it to you guys. See you soon!
