WIAW: Vlog Edition

The week is more than halfway over! While it began on a pretty rough note, things are looking up and I’m excited to have a good, relaxing weekend soon. Today I was feeling like doing something different so I filmed a little vlog to go along with this week’s WIAW. I hope you enjoy it! I definitely have a lot to learn about vlogging and my camera work could use some help (as could my enunciation!), but let me know if you like the video and I will start doing more of them. Let’s go!

Breakfast: overnight oats topped with strawberries and sliced almonds

In the bowl was equal parts oats, yogurt, and milk with some chia seeds mixed in and left to hang out in the fridge overnight. I do love the taste of overnight oats but they just don’t keep me full very long! A couple hours after a bowl and I’m starving again. ๐Ÿ˜›

Morning Snack: muscadines

Lunch: whole wheat pita filled with turkey, guacamole, spinach, roasted red peppers, tomatoes, and a sun dried tomato vinaigrette, lots of dessert

Instead of telling you, let me show you! And while I’m at it, let me show you around the town where we live! It’s a little long but that’s because I had a lot to show you and tell you.

I know you’re now booking a flight to come and tour the ‘Burg right now! Seriously, though…it’s a great place and you really should put a visit on your bucket list!

Dinner: tomato soup, grilled cheese

Remember these tomatoes from our produce share?

They had been ripening on our counter beautifully. I needed a quick dinner after coming home from Medical Malpractice class so I made them and some other fresh toms all into soup!

I served the soup alongside some whole wheat grilled cheese sandwiches filled with cheddar and yarlsberg. Delish!

A little bubbly to drink.

My bedtime was 3 hours ago! Time to hit the sack.

Thanks for reading!

P.S.- Let me know if you like the vlog thing or if you don’t–I want your input! ๐Ÿ™‚

I loved the vlog! Especially where you took the video camera around to Williamsburg. A lot of times… actually every vlog I have ever seen before… the “vlogger” stays stationary, so this was very unique! Good job ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope you do more with your WIAW posts.

    Hey, Lauren!
You should definitely make more vlogs! I love Williamsburg (grew up in VA Beach) and it was so fun seeing the area again.
Vlogging does feel awkward at first but you’ll get used to it. ๐Ÿ™‚
