Today was a bit of a roller coaster! Crazy days call for some serious dessert.
There’s nothing in the world that puff pastry can’t fix. At least, that’s what I like to believe. This is why I could never become a vegan…I’m sorry. Actually I’m not sorry. But to those of you who can swear of puff pastry for life, I commend you.
Everyone knows that Nutella and strawberries go together like peanut butter and jelly, so I thought it would make a delicious combo to stuff those two in some pastry cups! There’s a lot of recipes floating around for mini pastry cups, but if you’re like me and only have a standard size muffin pan, these are the pastry cups for you. I’m just eating them as a snack, but they would make a great dessert for a crowd because it’s extremely fast to put together and they are perfectly portioned out.
Nutella and Strawberry Stuffed Pastry Cups

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Keywords: bake dessert snack vegetarian strawberries
Ingredients (9 cups)
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 1/3 c. chocolate hazlenut spread
- 2 T. plain greek yogurt
- 1/4 c. thinly sliced strawberries
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees
Flour a clean surface and gently roll out the puff pastry sheet until it widens about 1/2″ on every side.
Cut the sheet into 9 equal sized squares and press each square gently into the cups of a greased standard size muffin tin.
In a small bowl, mix together the hazelnut spread and the greek yogurt until completely combined.
Spoon about a couple teaspoons of the mixture into each pastry cup.
Bake the cups in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 20 minutes.
When the cups are cool, stuff a few slices of strawberry into each cup.
Serve and enjoy!
The addition of greek yogurt cuts some of the sweetness of the Nutella and also makes it so that you have to use less of the spread (I’m a cheap-o over here).
If you’re like me and always have a box of puff pastry in your freezer, you have to take advantage of the springtime strawberries and make these suckers. Especially if you’ve had a crazy day. 🙂
Happy first day of SPRING!!! Stop and smell the pollen strawberries!
Thanks for reading!

These look incredible!! I’m all about making any kind of nut butters last a longer time, so the greek yogurt addition is ingenious!
