No Objections

Today I woke up bright and early and donned my best lawyer outfit for a full day of courtroom business. It was my first experience being in court as an “attorney”, and BOY was it exhausting. To me, the most challenging part is being objected to. I hate objections! I don’t even like to make them against other people, and I would just rather they not exist. 😛 The good news is that it went pretty well and my trial partner and I ended up winning our case! Wohoo! Good thing, because I would have been mad to have worn this outfit all day for nothing.

I observed my hubby’s trial, which was also today, and was so proud to watch him work. He’s considering a career in prosecution right now and seeing his composure in the courtroom made me so happy. After the trials and trial critique were done (which wasn’t until 6pm!!! grrr….I had to miss my Zumba class…), all we wanted was to take off those uncomfortable clothes and go get some delicious food. I knew what I was craving right away!

I love Five Guys! I think their burgers are so much better than traditional “fast food” burgers. Of course, every Five Guys experience must begin with some salted peanuts while you wait…

I ordered a “Little Cheeseburger” with everything, and Jason got a double with a whole lot of stuff on it that I don’t remember! 🙂

When I treat myself to a burger (which is only once every few months probably), you best believe I’m going to enjoy it. Zero guilt. No objections.

There were also no objections to these amazingly salty and greasy fries.

They were so hot that they kept steaming up my lens when I tried to take a picture of them!

We drank a giant Coke alongside the whole thing which was also yummy. Soda goes so well with food like this, though I admit I would have preferred my new favorite Pellegrino soda instead.

One of the great things about keeping a healthy diet is that when you do indulge a little, it’s even more of a treat. Trust me, I used to eat weekly hamburgers and when you eat them that often they stop being a treat and start being something you just shove in your mouth that make you feel super gross later. But I will never say goodbye to burgers forever, they’re delicious to enjoy every once in a (long) while!

I really owe you guys I recipe, I know I haven’t been blogging in the way that I usually do! I promise I will have a delicious recipe to show you in the morning. For now, Jason and I are continuing our celebration of trials being over by going out to FROYO! I’m in the mood for cookies ‘n cream…mmmmmmm…

Thanks for reading!

Awww, you should be so proud of yourself. I’m sure law school is no walk in the park and it sounds like you’re rocking it! I have ALWAYS loved burgers but stopped eating them a few years ago because they were making me immediately sick. I’ve had a few recently and felt completely fine so now I’m looking in to making them for dinners.
