Today has been crazy. The last several days have been crazy. There is not a single green food in our house and the only fruit we have is rotten, but still sitting on the counter. I haven’t cooked in days. I ate breakfast this morning while reading about partial-birth abortions for my health law class. School is in full swing, and I feel I have officially fallen off the healthy & wholesome eating wagon. I’ve possibly also fallen off the sanity wagon. Beware: what you are about to see is essentially a carb fest that was consumed while looking at the clock and saying “Wait, how much longer do I have before the next class?”. We’re in the trenches, my friends. And this is what I ate Wednesday.
Breakfast: PB & J Oats (Coach’s oats cooked in almond milk, topped with peanut butter and strawberry jelly), cup of English Breakfast tea on the side
Lunch: leftover Papa John’s pizza from last night, which gave me crazy heartburn starting an hour later
Dinner: Moe’s chicken taco stack, chips & queso, root beer on the side
I know, I know. It was a very SAD day (by SAD I mean Standard American Diet, of course). Don’t judge, at least not until you’re a second-year law student. I haven’t had the time to do my typical meal planning and grocery shopping, and the result is what you just saw above. The good news is that this was an unusual week and this sort of thing shouldn’t always happen. I feel a major life re-organization and possible food detox happening for us in the very near future. Look out.
Thanks for reading! And please go and eat something better for you than what I’ve been having.

i LOVE your meals, everyone is so obsessed with eating as little as possible or as little calories as they can its great to see someone who actually EATS. and who doesn’t love pizza???

Hahaha I’m going to start using the SAD acronym! that’s so true!!
But sometimes, you just have to eat like the rest of the world! I’m sure you’ll be back on the wagon (off the wagon?) soon! 🙂

I totally feel you on the craziness of school being back in session. I have a 25 page appellate brief due in a week and a half!!! And yet, I’m reading blogs right now not writing. For some reason I thought the second year of law school would be easier…oh well, back to the grind!

No judging here! And who doesn’t love pizza leftovers? Yum!

You know, I’ll be the first to admit that eating healthy is not easy. It takes a LOT of planning ahead and dedication and sometimes something more important has to come first. I’d say school fits that bill. The good thing is, you can always get back on track 🙂

Sometimes you just have to eat what you want to eat whether it’s considered unhealthy or not. I’m glad you enjoyed it and you are not feeling guilty! 🙂

Love that you used the SAD acronym! No judgement here doll – I remember grad school days. That and my week hasn’t been the healthiest either.
