We finally got a workout in today! A serious workout. And by that I mean we went to an amusement park. In the interests of full disclosure, I should tell you (in case you hadn’t noticed) that I really don’t exercise. I love doing yoga and I love walking, but I haven’t gotten to that point where cardio or strength training ever feels like anything but punishment. Some day soon, maybe, but not today. 🙂 But I feel that a going to an amusement park is a legit workout because you can easily walk for miles! So that’s what we did today.
Breakfast: Green monster smoothie with spinach, banana, almond milk, peanut butter, and vanilla protein powder
The green monster is back in my life! I usually would have something else in addition to a GM for breakfast, but we were going to lunch like an hour later so I decided to just enjoy the smoothie on its own.
Lunch: Moe’s Homewrecker Jr. (chicken burrito with rice, black beans, lettuce, pico, corn salsa, guacamole, and sour cream in a whole wheat tortilla), chips and queso
After a delicious lunch, we headed straight for Busch Gardens. In case you don’t remember, we suffered through a 4-hour advertisement/speech from an ex-boxer telling us how a time share will make all our dreams come true in order to get FREE season passes to Busch Gardens. Those 4 hours were painful, and therefore we will go to Busch Gardens as many times as we can bear it to make it all worth it.
I love how different Busch Gardens is from other parks. We saw some beautiful animals…
A wonderful Irish step show:
And of course the usual Busch Gardens shenanigans.
We had a fabulous time as always. Somehow, even though we’ve been several times, we always find something new to do and see and love it.
We decided to get dinner at the smokehouse, which has AMAZING food. They have a real smokehouse outside the restaurant and the smell of BBQ fills the air. The dudes smoking the meat even waved to the camera for me!
Sorry about the flash photos coming up, we ate late! 🙂
Dinner: Smokehouse Sampler (BBQ ribs, BBQ brisket, 1/4 BBQ chicken, fries and a roll) and Mediterranean Salad shared between Jason and I
Dessert: Vanilla Latté
I’m off to go plan our meals for the rest of the week (perhaps I should do a post on this?).
Thanks for reading!

I haven’t been to an amusement park in like ten years. Sounds fun though. Jason’s been bugging me to go to Six Flags, but we never go for some reason.

Amusement park trips are a GREAT workout!! So much walking! Hey, it doesn’t have to be conventional to be a workout. Looks like such a fun day and I want that burrito!
