We knew the CNN center was close to our work, but I guess we didn’t realize HOW close. It takes only a few minutes to walk there! So perfect! If you didn’t already know, the headquarters for CNN is here in Atlanta.
The center where the network is also has a food court, offices, tours, etc. The tour is really cool if you’re ever in the city, you get to see whatever show is broadcasting live.
Today we went to Don Juan Mexican Cantina, which I had never tried but it was delicious! It’s very clean and quaintly decorated, and the waitress was very prompt and so nice!
We immediately were brought some fresh tortilla chips and salsa.
I ordered the chicken fajitas, which were beautifully plated and DELICIOUS!
Everything was piping hot and sizzling (that’s my favorite part of fajitas, when they come out sizzling!). The chicken was juicy and perfectly seasoned, and all of the toppings were sitting on a bed of perfectly grilled onions. The guacamole and salsa in the tortilla bowl were so fresh and flavorful. All this with steaming hot flour tortillas on the side–perfect meal!!! Seriously. I will be returning to this place for lunch. It helped that they were able to give me a sweet tea fix.
I have a sweet tea problem, y’all. I had gotten into a good habit of ordering water most of the time…but now that I’m in the south for real…I can’t deny the sweet tea. Oh well. I ain’t fightin’ it.
I’ve got to go get started on dinner, I’m making chicken cordon bleu tonight! Yeah I’m kind of falling off the healthy eating wagon a bit…again, I blame it on being in the south. I’ll work on it, though! I should probably start with a nice, tall green monster.
Thanks for reading!

If you didn’t fall of the healthy wagon a bit in the south I would be worried about your mental state 😛 I always order fajitas when I get Mexican. And inevitably burn my tongue on sizzle hot peppers every time. Good luck with the chicken cordon bleu!
