WIAW: #nofilter

I’m definitely one of those people who has fallen into the filtered phone photography trend. It’s just such an easy and fun way to take pictures and share them. But I’ve definitely become way too dependent on hiding behind my phone’s filters instead of taking the few more seconds to actually put the thought into taking a good picture. So my new goal is NO MORE filters. At least not outside of Instagram where they belong. Follow me if you’re not already (@lawfullyweddedwife)–I’ve been Instagramming a lot more lately! But I do have a real camera, a very nice camera that I’m fortunate to own, and it needs to be used. I want to use it! And so I will. Mark my words, friends. 🙂

It’s food journal day! With a real camera.

Breakfast: greek yogurt pancakes with strawberries

20130227-DSC_0160My new favorite pancakes! SO GOOD. Recipe coming tomorrow!

Morning Snack:  fruit smoothie (from frozen Jama Juice packet)

20130227-DSC_0169It was hot out today! It’s finally feeling like a Georgia summer, complete with extreme humidity. Even though I spent most of the day inside studying, this smoothie was nice and refreshing in weather like this. The heat didn’t keep Cynewulf’s spirits down though!

For anyone wondering, he’s adjusting really well and doing better with the separation anxiety. No more injuries since that first week! He’s full of energy and brings us so much joy already. Can’t imagine him not being here.

Lunch: fieldroast veggie dog

20130228-DSC_0175Dinner: mac and cheese, collard greens, sweet potato soufflée

Have I mentioned that it’s awesome to live close to family?? It bears repeating. Especially when there’s food involved. We drove over to my parents’ house and mom spoiled us with another awesome Southern meal.

There was balsamic pork loin for the omnivores, too.

20130228-DSC_0198Nothing sticks to my ribs like this food.

20130228-DSC_0201After dinner we worked off some of that indulgent dinner with a family walk. David and Ashley rode their bikes, Jason and I walked with Cynewulf.

20130228-DSC_0214Dessert: salted caramel ice cream

We had a Bruster’s coupon that was expiring today, so despite full bellies we went for ice cream on the way home. I could barely finish half of mine, but Cynewulf got a free doggie ice cream which he devoured before I could even take a picture.

20130228-DSC_0222Back to studying. The bar exam is drawing near…scary.

Thanks for reading!

    Thanks for the update on your adorable pooch! You guys are so wonderful for adopting him and truly giving him his forever home. I used to volunteer at a humane society and I can tell you not everyone sticks to their side of the deal :-{
