Mom’s Mountain Rolls

posted in: Bread | 4

It’s been almost a week since I posted–goodness! Jason and I arrived safe and sound in Georgia, where I’m from and where we’re living and working for the summer. You haven’t heard from me because I’ve been busy celebrating birthdays…

Pampering my mom on Mother’s Day…

And just soaking up the time with my family, especially this little munchkin who I’ve missed so much!

I’ll be back to regular posting now and can’t wait to share all sorts of good food with you! Today my mom made some DELICIOUS white mountain rolls that seriously tasted like they were from a restaurant. The recipe can be found on Farmgirl Fare and I would HIGHLY recommend it. I’m getting hungry for another one just thinking about it.

I made shrimp pasta for dinner and we served the rolls and a mixed greens salad on the side.

We also opened a bottle of this Australian muscato. If you like muscato, this is a great choice with a great price!

The bread went so perfectly with everything! I miss being here where they keep real butter in the fridge! šŸ˜€ Clearly I could keep butter in my fridge in Virginia too, but I don’t because I know that if I have it around I’ll dump it willy nilly in everything. I love my Earth Balance and all but sometimes butter is just perfect. This was one of those times.

Excuse me while I go eat another. With more butter.

Thanks for reading!

Ooh, your shrimp pasta looks amazing. Is that gorgeous restaurant in Atlanta? Looks a bit different than where my husband is from in GA …

Okay. I am seriously not okay with the fact that Ashley looks like you did when I met you. Like for real. I just had a moment. That first picture of her and jason, she looks just like you. It’s spooky.

She’s growing up too fast šŸ™
