It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like…

I went to the ‘burg’s holiday farmer’s market this morning!

They have three every year, with lots of beautiful food and handmade holiday items!

They even had chefs from a couple local restaurants giving free samples! I got some delicious vegetable soup and a banana-walnut muffin to taste.

Everything was delicious!

Of course, they had all of the usual awesome farmer’s market fare too.

I had my shopping buddy with me, and we picked up some local beef steak and bison meat that I can’t wait to have this week!

Back at the ranch, I got an early start on dinner for tonight. I saw a Bobby Flay recipe online for creamed kale that I’ve been wanting to try so I made some adjustments and gave it a whirl! It’s delicious!

It might look like it’s loaded up on cheese, but that’s really just a sprinkling that I added on top and then baked for a few minutes to melt. The cheese adds an amazing tang and extra creaminess. This is another dish that would be perfect on a Thanksgiving table!

This definitely helped to put a dent in that mountain of kale I just got in my CSA box!

We’re having this with oven fried chicken and potatoes for dinner! I took the liberty of tasting it early though, so it may or may not be a quarter of the way gone already…

I hope you’re having a great weekend! Thanks for reading!

I love everything in this post! I wish we had a holiday market. And that kale looks so so good. I’ll have to pin it. Oh and your white jacket is GORGEOUS. I want one like that so bad!

This looks fantastic! I’ve been looking for some new veggie ideas – sick of the same old stand bys – and this is definitely going to be making an appearance on my dinner table very soon!!

Oh ok, I thought when you said you had made some adjustments that you had given details. Thanks for answering!

FYI, there’s some weird coding bit in the post that made me think I wasn’t seeing something: [amd-zlrecipe-recipe:9]. And there’s also something funky going on in the code down below the Post Comment button. There are four check boxes but three options–and two of those options have the same text. 🙂
