Ashley’s Peanut Butter Drizzle Brownies

Wow, I have been posting late in the day. Sorry about that! I don’t really have an option because we don’t get home until around 6, so by the time we’ve eaten and whatnot it’s pretty late! Work went well today, we had another eventful day that went by pretty fast. Jason and I are basically assistants to the support council for state prosecutors, so we’re learning a lot of interesting things about criminal law. We made pretty good time getting home and I was in the mood to bake! And so was Ashley.

And so these awesome brownies were born. Healthy? No. Delicious? Yes.

Ashley’s Peanut Butter Drizzle Brownies (adapted from One Bowl Brownies)

  • 6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 c. butter
  • 1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 t. vanilla extract
  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. creamy peanut butter

-In a medium sized microwave-safe bowl, pour in the chocolate chips and the butter.

-Microwave for about 1 minute and then in increments of about 20 seconds, stirring well after each time until the chocolate and butter are smooth and melted together.

-Stir in the sugar, then add the eggs and stir quickly until smooth. Stir in the vanilla and flour until smooth. Pour batter into a well greased baking dish.

-Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Paint a little girl’s nails while it’s baking, if you wish.

Please don’t forget the thumb polka dots.

-Remove the brownies and set aside to cool for about 15 minutes.

-In a small bowl or mug, microwave the peanut butter until thin and runny (about 45 seconds). Use a spoon to drizzle the melted peanut butter over the warm brownies.

-Let cool a few more minutes, slice and enjoy! Makes 9 large brownies.

When she took a bite she said, and I quote, “Ohhhhh yeah!”

Fudgy, rich, and delicious! Chocolate makes for very happy ladies.

Thanks for reading!

P.S.-Please bear with me as I adjust to the lighting here. It’s totally different than the lighting at our Virginia place and I have not quite figured it out, which is why some pics are super grainy while others are totally in focus. C’est la vie! I’ll figure it out soon.

YUM. That looks amazing. Why do you now live 10 hours from me instead of 2.5? Lame. Ashley is adorable, but you need to tell her to stop growing up. She looks like a real pre-teen… Like almost not a kid anymore. AND that is NOT a sweet place. P.S. love the ladybug-esk nails. Are you rocking those at work too?

Lighting is such a pain, you’ll get used to to I’m sure! Love the peanut butter design on the brownies šŸ™‚ And that last picture is too cute!
