More Fun With Fruit Jam!

The weather today was AMAZING, it was a great glimpse of the season to come. I wasted a lot of gas driving around with the windows down…and the best part about early spring is that you get the sunshine WITHOUT THE BEES!!! I hate bees, they are the thing I am most afraid of second to tornadoes…

ANYWAYS, we ran out of that strawberry jam I made a couple weeks ago so I made another batch today! Except this time I changed the recipe a little to add some fresh blackberries! It’s so good with the mix of berries–it tastes like the inside of a pie!!!

Strawberry-Blackberry Jam

  • 16 oz. fresh strawberries
  • 6 oz. fresh blackberries
  • juice of half a lemon
  • 2/3 c. sugar

-Start by rinsing the berries well.

-Hull and slice the strawberries. Put all of the ingredients into a large skillet or wide saucepan over medium heat. Boil and stir and watch the progress (it should take about 15 minutes)!

Tada!

Really, it tastes like pie. YUM!

Thanks for reading! If I wake up early enough tomorrow I MAY do a post on what I pack us for lunch.

-Lauren

Um, can you just push the button to have some of that sent to me at my house…lol! It looks good.

I also love the yogurt dip. I keep honey yogurt dip in my firdge for my fruit. I have never added orange juice to it, so I will have to give that a go. Thanks for sharing 🙂
